<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To impede the expansion of an air bag even in the event of a collision in the case of detecting the state of a child seat or the like being fixed onto a seat. SOLUTION: This occupant restraining protection device is provided with a seat sensor 1 for detecting the value of load applied onto the seat, and a tension switch 13 put in an ON state when tension is in a specified range. An air bag operation judging part 35 judges an occupant condition where tension exceeds the lower limit threshold to put the tension switch 13 in the ON state and a seat belt is mounted to a buckle, or an occupant condition where the tension switch 13 is in an OFF state and the sum of seat weight obtained from the seat sensor 11 and weight increment caused by the tension of the seat belt is the specified weight or less. In the case of a collision sensor 14 detecting a collision, an expansion regulating control signal of the air bag 2 corresponding to the judgment is outputted to an ignition device 3.</p> |
