PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a spool for welding wire, made of metal easy to be recycled and capable of being fabricated simply at a low cost by means of press molding. SOLUTION: The spool for welding wire consists of a trunk 11 formed from a metal plate blanked off by a press, with the top and bottom folded and bent into a cylindrical shape and provided with flanges 13 at the top and bottom, and a metal flange 12 furnished with a bearing part 14 in the center and a ring-shaped groove 15 in its peripheral part corresponding to the top and bottom flanges 13 by means of bending using a press, and the flanges 13 are fitted in the groove 15 and fastened by TOX joining by driving in a punch.
