PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent leakage of ink from an ink channel. SOLUTION: The ink jet recording head comprises a base plate 301, a pull-out plate 305 being bonded onto at least one side of the base plate 301 to form a plurality of ink channels, and a nozzle plate 303 having a plurality of nozzles 410 for ejecting ink from the plurality of ink channels. The base plate 301 and the pull-out plate 305 are bonded such that the joint face thereof intersects the plane of the nozzle plate 303 where the plurality of nozzles 410 are formed and the base plate 301 has parts 350 projecting from the opposite sides thereof. Since the projecting parts 350 are formed on the opposite sides of the base plate 301, the direction for pressing the base plate 301 can be determined accurately.
