PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a purification method obtaining the objective dimethylaminoethyl acrylate by distilling off methyl acrylate and dimethylaminoethanol by continuous distillation from a mixed solution containing at least methyl acrylate, dimethylaminoethanol and dimethylaminoethyl acrylate while suppressing formation of Michael adduct and polymer without using a refrigerant at <=-5 deg.C. SOLUTION: A mixed solution containing at least methyl acrylate, dimethylaminoethanol and dimethylaminoethyl acrylate is continuously supplied to a distillation apparatus equipped with a first and a second distillation columns. Firstly methyl acrylate is distilled off by the first distillation column, a bottom product from the first distillation column is supplied to the second distillation column, dimethylaminoethanol is distilled off from the second distillation column and dimethylaminoethyl acrylate is left in a bottom product from the second distillation column.
