PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an easy-handling sanitary merchandise covering method and device and to prevent degradation in the freshness of merchandise. SOLUTION: In a restaurant in which merchandise 14 is placed on a merchandise dish 12 and is provided, a cover material 16 drawn out by a take-up device 26 to draw out and take up the cover material 16 from a wound cover material 18 on which the long cover material 16 is wound is cut into a predetermined shape by a cutter 30. By dropping and spreading the cut cover material 16 over the merchandise 14 placed on the merchandise dish 12, the merchandise 14 is covered. |
