PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid-jet recording head and a manufacturing method whereby an arrangement position accuracy between a recording element substrate and a recording liquid supply/hold member is improved and the apparatus in made compact and fit to obtain a high image quality. SOLUTION: When an electrode 7 of the recording element substrate 1 fixedly bonded to a supporting member 9 of the recording liquid supply/hold member 10 and an electrode terminal 13 of a flexible film wiring board 11 are thermocompression bonded by a thermocompression bonding unit 19 with the use of a thermosetting adhesive 17, supporting columns 21a, 21b, etc., of a supporting stage 20 for supporting the recording liquid supply/hold member 10 from below are inserted into supporting through holes 8a, 8b, etc., set to the recording liquid supply/hold member 10 to penetrate to reach a bottom face of the supporting member 9, whereby the supporting member 9 is directly supported by leading end parts of the supporting columns. An electric connecting part can be stably thermocompression bonded, and the recording liquid supply/ hold member can be prevented from being deformed or from being partly left unconnected, so that the arrangement position accuracy between the recording element substrate and the recording liquid supply/hold member is improved.
