PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and device for manufacturing a steel tube by which the product charasteristics are improved by thinking out a simple device on an existing device. SOLUTION: When the outside diameter of the steel tube is contracted with a stretch reducer in which a multistage roll stand is arranged and rolled into a product size, the steel tube is reheated between any of adjacescent two roll stands. At this time, the reheating is taken as induction heating.
