PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the subject battery case enabling lowering the sound level of a buzzer to be suppressed even if the buzzer is contained therein in addition to a battery. SOLUTION: This battery case for a double bearing reel which is capable of containing a disk-like battery IP for supplying power to e.g. a liquid crystal display inside a counter case 4 mounted on the reel body, has a cylindrical housing section 23 openable with a front cover 9, a buzzer setting section 24, a partition element 25, a battery setting section 26 and a covering element 27; wherein the buzzer setting section 24 is provided at the bottom of the housing section 23 and capable of disposing a disklike buzzer equal in diameter to the battery, the partition element 25 has a seizing component larger in diameter than the buzzer on at least part thereof, the battery setting section 26 is provided toward the opening side apart from the partition element 25, and the covering element 27 is mounted on the reel body detachably so as to cover the opening.
