PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric reel for fishing, capable of readily and surely carrying out changeover between manual fishing operation and electric fishing operation without carrying out wrong operation, relaxing one-sidedness of weight balance of a reel body. SOLUTION: This electric reel for fishing is equipped with a spool 8 rotatably supported in a reel body 4, a spool-driving motor 24 for driving the spool 8, a speed change gear for increasing or decreasing motor output of the spool- driving motor 24 and a handle 2 for manual winding provided in one side part of the reel body 4 and capable of carrying out manual fishing operation by rotating the spool 8. A motor output adjuster 40 capable of carrying out electric fishing operation by carrying out increasing or decreasing control of motor output is installed so as to enable the displacement in the reel body 4 excluding one side part to which the handle 2 for manual winding of the reel body 4 is attached.
