PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a surface-treating method for treating the surface of an aluminum composite with an anodic oxide film formed to obtain the composite reduced in discharge gas and particles and improved in insulation and corrosion resistance and the obtained aluminum composite. SOLUTION: A polysilazane solution is applied on the surface of the aluminum composite with an acidic oxide film formed on a substrate formed from aluminum or an aluminum alloy, dried and baked to surface-treat the composite. Such a surface-treated aluminum composite consists of the substrate, anodic oxide film and silica film.
