PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing an ethylenediamine-N,N"-disuccinic acid (EDDS) salt having high quality in high recovery rate while suppressing the deterioration and degradation and reducing the waste water load from an aqueous solution containing a crude EDDS salt obtained by a synthetic reaction using ethylenediamine and maleic acid and/or fumaric acid as raw materials. SOLUTION: A purified EDDS salt can be produced by the fractional chromatographic treatment of the aqueous solution containing the crude EDDS salt obtained by the synthetic reaction using ethylenediamine and maleic acid and/or fumaric acid as raw materials.
