PURPOSE: A raster distortion correction circuit is provided to correct an inside pincushion raster distortion so as not to cause variations in raster size. CONSTITUTION: A structure, where a separation diode D1 and a right and left switching transistor TR Q1 are arranged in series, is connected between a main winding W1 of a flyback transformer and a horizontal deflection output TR Q2, and retrace energy is controlled to perform horizontal modulation of a deflection current amplitude. A first inductor L2, a tapped inductor L1, and an S-shaped capacitor C2 are connected with switches between them to form a trace resonance circuit in the first half of the trace. The tapped inductor has an inductance part L1a, which forms a current path for a deflection current iLY. The tapped inductor generates a voltage VL1 which control switches. The trace resonance circuit corrects inside pincushion raster distortions.
