The invention relates to an emitter follower, to which a current is supplied through a biasing means (RB), the current being divided in the emitter into a load current (I3) and a current (I2) running through a transistor, and the current (I2) passed through the transistor (Q1) creates a parasitic pole in the frequency domain. According to the invention, a control loop is generated, which controls the first current running through the biasing means (RB) in such a manner that the collector current (I2) of the transistor (Q1) remains substantially at a constant value regardless of variation in the load current (I3). When this constant value is selected in such a manner that the corresponding parasitic pole is outside the desired operating frequency range, the emitter follower or the electronic circuit in which it is used, is frequency-stable at all load current values, and the circuit can, when required, supply even high load circuits (I3) without changing the bias current (I2) of the emitter follower. |
