<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a method of driving an optical shutter device which can eliminate the influence of crosstalk between optical shutter elements adjacent on a substrate. SOLUTION: On a chip 12 made of PLZT, optical shutter elements 13a, 13b... are arranged side by side and brought under ON/OFF control by making electric fields operate from a common electrode 14 and individual electrodes 15a, 15b... Image data for the ON/OFF control over the element are corrected according to the state of the crosstalk of the electric fields operating on the elements. The crosstalk is generated between elements which are adjacent on the chip 12, so the data are corrected according to the ON or OFF states of the adjacent elements 13c and 13g as to an element 13e of interest.</p> |
