PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To shorten the processing time up to actually executing a command from a host computer and to enhance the entire processing speed. SOLUTION: The command from the host computer is held in a command holding part and whether the held command is the one to accompany data transfer or to accompany no data transfer is judged by referring to a command of a register. When it is a command accompanied with the data transfer, switching discrimination signals SX, SY are outputted from a switching signal output part to a command switching part. Thus, control is performed by hardware structure without interposing a CPU in the case of the command to accompanied with the data transfer. In addition, an interruption is generated from the switching signal output part to the CPU in the case of the command to accompanied with no data transfer. The CPU analyzes the command held in the command holding part and outputs the switching discrimination signals SX, SY to the command switching part.
