PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a uniformalized display by eliminating unevenness of display density in a liquid crystal display device wherein resistance components of the liquid crystal display device cause to form a CR charge-discharge circuit; cause dullness to a scanning signal waveform and a signal line driving waveform; vary an effective voltage to be applied to display pixels; cause density unevenness of display; and result in degrading the display quality. SOLUTION: The liquid crystal display device, comprising a liquid crystal layer, a liquid crystal panel where pixels 30 are formed at matrix form cross- points of plural rectangular signal lines 31 and scanning lines 32 interposing the liquid crystal layer in-between, a signal line driving circuit 33, and a scanning line driving circuit 34, is provided with an arithmetic circuit 38 for performing a prescribed arithmetic operation to detection data obtained from a detecting means, and a waveform width adjusting means for modulating the waveform width of the scanning line signal waveform to be sent to the scanning lines on the basis of the calculation results of the arithmetic circuit 38.
