PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the flatness of the output pulse of a pulse power supply system and to reduce the size and cost the system. SOLUTION: The pulse power supply system charges a plurality of capacitors of a voltage compensating circuit by two or more types of different voltages and switches the circuit in response to a compensating voltage to select the capacitor used for compensating the voltage. In this case, the capacitors are connected in series, resistors are connected in parallel with the capacitors, and a power supply is connected to the capacitors connected in series to charge the plurality of the capacitors from the one power source. Thus, the compensating accuracy of the compensating circuit can be improved. The number of the serial stages of the circuit necessary to compensate the voltage is reduced, and the size and cost of the system can be decreased.
