PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a magneto-optical recording medium capable of maintaining sliding characteristics even in continuous sliding and having good appearance. SOLUTION: The magneto-optical recording medium 1 has a recording film 4 and an organic protective film 7 formed on a substrate 2, and the organic protective film 7 consists of a composition of at least acrylic resin (A) to be base resin, modified siloxane (B), and non-modified siloxane (C).
