PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To mutually separate more than two kinds of molecules by utilizing a dielectric migration force. SOLUTION: This method for separating a substance consists of a first method for forming a composite substance, consisting of 'a specific molecule' in a sample and 'a substance capable of changing dielectric migration characteristics of the specific molecule' from 'the specific molecule' and subsequently subjecting the same to dielectric migration, to separate the composite substance and a molecule other than the specific molecule and a second method utilizing dielectric migration force to allow a solution, in which more than two kinds of molecules are dissolved to be present in a un uniform electric field having a strong electric field intensity, that is, an electric field intensity of 500 KV/m or larger.
