摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a highly reliable series type voltage stabilizing device, which can continuously make voltage adjustment, regardless of the state, such as the current, power factor, etc., of a load and is small in loss and a voltage stabilizing and control method using the device. SOLUTION: A variable capacitor unit 11 is constituted by connecting a capacitor 12 and a variable reactor 13, in parallel with each other and a variable reactor unit 14 is connected in series with the capacitor unit 11. The voltage of a power system is controlled, by continuously adjusting the impedance value of a variable impedance which is constituted, by connecting the reactor unit 14 in series with the capacitor unit 11 constituted by connecting the reactor 13 in parallel with the capacitor 12 from an inductive impedance to a capacitive impedance, by connecting the variable impedance in series with the power system and variably controlling the reactor value of the reactor unit 14.
