PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a DC-DC converter provided with a synchronous rectifier capable of limiting the inverse current. SOLUTION: An inverse current detecting means for detecting an inverse current is installed. An inverse current limit means for increasing an I/O conversion ratio when an inverse current is detected is installed. Consequently, peculiar regulation characteristicαthat the change of an output voltage to the change of an output current is very large is obtained in a region (inverse current flowing region) were the output current is negative (-). In the conventional regulation characteristicβ, a large inverse current having a current value Ix flows when an overshoot voltage Vx is applied to the output side of the DC-DC converter. In the peculiar regulation characteristicα, the inverse current to the overshoot voltage Vx can be limited as a current Iz. Damage to the components and the loss increase caused by the inverse current can be avoided.
