PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrophotographic photoreceptor having high surface hardness of the photoreceptor and high mechanical strength in an electrophotographic process, i.e., the high durability to the occurrence of significant wear, flaws, etc., on the surface of the photoreceptor by rubbing. SOLUTION: A protective layer of the electrophotographic photoreceptor having a photosensitive layer and the protective layer on a conductive substrate contains at least a curable resin and conductive particles and is formed by curing the curable resin by irradiation with electronic beams.
