PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily find the lateral minute curve or distortion caused by moisture absorption or after-contraction during storage of a ceramic-based outer wall material such as siding. SOLUTION: This curve detector for outer wall material comprises a plurality of fixing support members 2 for supporting one side surface A of the outer wall material 1; a pressing means 3 for pressing the opposite side surface B of the outer wall material 1 from the opposite side to the fixing support members 2; a moving support member 4 movably making contact with the one side surface A of the outer wall material 1 on the fixing support member 2 side; and a sensor 5 provided on the straight line connecting the fixing support members 2. According to this, it can be judged whether the moving support member 4 and fixing support members 2 in contact with the one side surface A of the outer wall material 1 are located on a straight line of a fixed width or not by the sensor 5.
