PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a photographic printing and developing device which is lower in a cost and higher in performance by providing the device which occupies less spaces and is inexpensive in a switch-back type transporting device which alternates the front and rear of a photosensitive material by changing the transporting direction thereof. SOLUTION: A changeover guide is cooperatively driven by a drive motor of a reversibly forwardly and backwardly rotatable roller of the switch-back type transporting device. A means for driving the changeover guide is formed as a device having a torque regulatable power transmission mechanism, such as a fluid coupling. The device driven by the displacement of a floating member having a sliding contact member which comes into sliding contact with a belt for transmitting the driving force to the reversibly forwardly and backwardly rotatable roller from the drive motor by using a change in the tension of this belt.
