[Also in Division F2] A stud fastener for resiliently holding an apertured. plate 34 on an apertured support 36 comprises an elastomeric sleeve 4 having a flange 10 for location between the plates 34 and 36 and a stud 5 having a heads 16 and 24, 40 which serves to compress the sleeve. The sleeve may be of polyurethane rubber. The cross-head 24 lies in a recess 14 in the flanged end of the sleeve. The head 16 has a spanner-end 18 and a flange 20, while the other end has lugs 28 which enter holes 40 in the support plates for location. The stud may be of acetal resin or metal. The sleeve is moulded on to the stud which is previously coated with a non-stick material, but the sleeve adheres to a sheet-metal washer 32 for radial strength, or alternatively the sleeve may be bonded to flange 20. Notches 30 indicate the angular position of the stud 5.
