The invention relates to a device that turns off auto radios of vehicles by means of a receiver device once said receiver device receives the signal sent from in-service emergency vehicles by a transmitter that is installed in said emergency vehicles. When this happens, the drivers of the vehicles become aware of the presence of emergency vehicles and can thus help expedite the work of said emergency vehicles. Once the emergency vehicle has driven away, the auto radios of the vehicles are once again turned on.
