An image transferring sheet for an ink jet printer having a substrate and a transfer layer which is peelable from the substrate and contains hot melt adhesive granules, wherein the transfer layer comprises porous fine particles of an adhesive having an oil absorption of 50 ml/100 g or more. The transfer layer may further comprise hot melt fine particles having an oil absorption less than 50 ml/100 g, a film-forming resin component and a dye fixing agent. The hot melt fine particles may comprise nylon particles and may have an average particle diameter of 1 to 100 mu m.
