A device for creating sequences of animated images foresees the positioning of a plurality of fixed images (13, 13a,13b, 13c) on at least a background wall of a tunnel (12) in which a mobile vehicle (11) travels, wherein such fixed images (13, 13a, 13b, 13c) are lit in a uniform way and mounted side by side in such a way as to form in their whole a visual sequence and characterised in that the vehicle (11) is made travel with an essentially constant speed in a substantially parallel direction with respect to the sequence of images. <IMAGE>
