摘要 Displays (1) of the kind typically consist of a flat base substrate (2) made of glass. A flat composite is applied thereon. Said composite consists of a transparent electrode layer (3) that is directly deposited on the glass base substrate (2), an outer metallic electrode layer (5) and a layer (4) that is situated therebetween, contains organic luminophores and emits light when a voltage is applied to the electrode layer. The aim of the invention is to decrease roughness of the glass base substrate (2) and thus homogenise the transparent electrode layer (3) deposited thereon. An unpolished low-alkali glass, borosilicate glass for instance, is used as base substrate (2). Occurrence of pixel defects caused by short-circuits or excessive field strengths is prevented by said measure.
