PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To appropriately and efficiently discharge underwater sediments in the water reservoir of a dam pond or the like to prevent a pipe from being choked up therewith. SOLUTION: The sand discharge structure is provided with an intake 12 opened to face the bottom 29 of the pond, a vertical pipe 13 vertically extending from the intake 12, a discharge outlet 18 opened to the downstream waterway, and a discharge pipe 10 discharging sediment. The discharge pipe 10 is installed to penetrate a dam 25 of the dam pond or the like. Further, the structure is provided with a crane function capable of hanging the whole intake side pipe 14 located in the dam pond hung in a state that the pipe is submerged lower than the working water level 21, and a crane barge 36 equipped with a lift having a verically moving function vertically moving the intake 12 to favorably let water flow in the discharge pipe 10 and a vent valve 42 through which air acting in the discharge pipe 10 is sucked and emitted to exhibit a siphon effect or intercept it.
