PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To artificially and efficiently create a seaweed bed, especially a seaweed bad for targeting Ecklonia stolonifera. SOLUTION: This multipurpose artificial culture reef 1 is equipped with an approximately laminar alga rankness part 50 for thickly growing algae on the top side and a supporting part 10 for heaving up the alga rankness part 50 from the bottom of the sea and holding the alga rankness part so as to prepare a condition for readily growing the algae. The alga rankness part 50 has a plate 53 having an approximately flat surface and a linear structure 54 which is installed on the plate 53, is equipped with a net part in a lattice form and binds flagellums of the algae.
