PURPOSE: A priming pump used in a diesel engine is provided to reduce manufacturing cost and to improve convenience of use by separately forming the priming pump from a fuel feeding pump to freely install at a predetermine portion of the fuel feeding tube. CONSTITUTION: A priming pump includes a pump body(1), a suction valve(2), a return spring(3), an exhaust valve(4), a guide(5) and a piston(6). The pump body(1) has an inlet space, an outlet space and a middle space. The guide(5) is installed on the middle space in such a manner that the piston(6) moves up and down within the middle space. The return spring(3) is fixed to a predetermined portion of the middle space of the pump body(1). The suction valve(2) is connected to the return spring(3) so as to selectively open and close the inlet space and the outlet space. The exhaust valve(4) is connected to the return spring(3) so as to selectively open and close the middle space and the outlet space.
