PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for readily producing a high-purity (meth)acrylic ester with a low content of impurities derived from a catalyst by using a small amount of the catalyst without causing polymerization. SOLUTION: A zirconium tetramethoxide is used as the catalyst and a specific N-oxyl compound is used as a polymerization inhibitor when methyl (meth) acrylate is reacted with a 3-18C alcohol to produce the (meth)acrylic ester. |
