PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of regenerating a catalyst by which a catalyst for hydrolysis of carbonyl sulfide(COS) having degraded catalytic performance can be regenerated and a catalyst for hydrolysis of COS having a long catalyst life and catalystic performance almost equal to that of a new product can be obtained and which is effective to stabilize the operation in desulfurizing facilities and to decrease the cost for maintenance. SOLUTION: The method of regenerating a catalyst for hydrolysis of COS consisting of potassium carbonate and/or sodium carbonate deposited on alumina includes a process of heat treating the catalyst at 200 to 800 deg.C and then again depositing potassium carbonate and/or sodium carbonate.
