PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To mix fluids very different in density without generating a gyrating current in the downstream part by making bubbles into minute ones with small pressure loss and homogenizing them. SOLUTION: Two-phase fluids, gas and liquid, are made to pass through a static mixer part 4 at first to mix them more roughly and then through a twisted fin-bundled part 6 made by bundling plural twisted fin elements 7, each of which is obtained by twisting a strip of a plate, without superposing one on another to cover the whole cross section of a pipe. Liquid is pushed upward and gas is pushed downward to mix them vertically by a static mixer element 5(1) being the first step of the part 4 and they are mixed horizontally by a static mixer element 5(2), whose phase is lagged by 90 deg., being the second step. The elements 7 of the part 6 give a rotary motion to the liquid and gas by making them flow along the elements 7 and generate shearing force so that the bubbles are made into minute ones. The turning flow is restrained from generating by the symmetric arrangement of the elements 7.
