PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a casting method, with which a cast product can be manufactured in a good dimensional precision by fixing exchanging calory among a mold, cooling water and molten metal. SOLUTION: Setting temperatures T1, T3, T4 are set in a control circuit 12. When the molten metal introduced in a cavity is cooled and solidified, this control circuit 12 always detects temperature T2 of the molten metal at the portion becoming the maximum thickness part in the cast product with a thermocouple 46b, and the opening of the molds is executed in the case of judging that the temperature T2 corresponds to the setting temperature T1. While the taken-out cast product is cooled by leaving as it is, coating material spouted from the first spouting hole and the second spouting hole in a liquid spouting part 68 of a spray mechanism 62 is applied on each cavity surface of the first mold 40 and the second mold 42. The control circuit 12 detects temperatures T5, T6 of both molds 40, 42 with thermocouples 46a, 46c and the application of the coating material is completed in the case of judging that the temperatures T5, T6 reach the setting temperatures T3, T4.
