PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To inspect a memory device such as ROM in a game machine for forgery or dishonest alteration. SOLUTION: A storage discrimination mark natural to each individual game machine 10 and a storage code data obtained by encoding the storage discrimination mark with a code key selected as a code key having a key mark principally derived by a prescribed operation using the storage discrimination mark from a code key table 35 formed of a plurality of code keys having individual key marks are stored in the storage memory means 30 of the game machine 10. The game machine 10 transmits the storage code data to an inspection device 50 together with the storage discrimination mark. The inspection device 50 selects an inspection decode key having the key mark principally derived from the received storage discrimination mark by the prescribed operation from a decode key table 75 corresponding to the code key table 35, and decodes the received code data by use of the decode key, and collates the result with the received storage discrimination mark.
