PURPOSE: An engine load control device is provided to uniformly maintain the engine torque regardless of the engine speed by making the opening degree of a throttle valve to vary due to not only an accelerator pedal but also the negative pressure of a tank. CONSTITUTION: An engine load control device comprises: an accelerator pedal(51) controlling the engine load; a throttle valve(52) controlling the intake amount of gas supplied to the engine by varying the opening degree interlocked with the accelerator pedal; an accelerator cable(53) carrying the operation force of the accelerator pedal to the throttle valve; a diaphragm actuator(60) installed at the middle part of the accelerator cable and controlling the opening degree of the throttle valve by using the negative pressure of a surge tank; and pressure control unit(65) positioned inside of the diaphragm actuator and controlling the pressure applied to a diaphragm(62) according to the displacement of the accelerator pedal.
