The invention relates to a hand operable paper moistening device (1) provided for correspondingly moistening paper and provided in the form of a reservoir (6) with elements (16), which are provided in the form of finger-like spring elements (52, 53, 54) for guiding paper thereover and which also enable the withdrawal of dry cleaning paper (2). The enclosure cover (5) is detachably connected to the enclosure (4) while forming an abutment and comprises, on the free end (25), a tilting element (30) which is provided with a tear-off edge (17) on one end and with a paper hold-down element (32) on the other end that is arranged inside the enclosure (4). This enables the cleaning paper (2) to be exactly torn off along the tear-off edge in a dry or moistened state as required and while using only one hand. A new supply roll (3) can also be inserted using only one hand by virtue of the fact that the securing catch can be conveniently and easily lifted again by using one hand. |
