PANAX GINSENG POLYSACCHARIDE HAVING HEMATOPOIETIC, MYELOPROTECTING, ANTITUMOR IMMUNE CELLS GENERATING AND RADIOSENSITIZING ACTION

摘要

PURPOSE: A polysaccharide composition extracted from the roots of Panax ginseng is provided, which has hematopoietic, myeloprotecting, antitumor immune cell generating, and radiosensitizing activities. CONSTITUTION: The polysaccharide composition is prepared by the steps of: 1)obtaining the residue by extracting 1 part by weight of ginseng roots with 2 to 4 parts by weight of methanol; 2)extracting and obtaining the water soluble fraction from the residue in step 1) using 3 to 5 parts by weight of distilled water; 3)freeze-drying the obtained water soluble fraction in step 2); 4)obtaining the inner fraction using the dialysis membrane after obtaining the insoluble fraction to the 40% ethanol from freeze-dried fraction in step 3); v)obtaining the 6 fractions by sephacryl S-500 gel chromatography; and vi)purifying the polysaccharide by DEAE-sephadex A-50 chromatography.
