CATHODE BASE METAL ON WHICH POROUS REDUCTIVE METAL LAYER IS FORMED AND MANUFACTURING METHOD THEREOF

PURPOSE: A cathode base metal on which porous reductive metal layer is formed and manufacturing method thereof is provided to increase stability of the process and productivity and to reduce manufacturing costs. CONSTITUTION: The cathode radiates thermal electrons as electron source in electron gun of color braun tube. The large amount of hydrogen is generated by electrochemical method before welding to sleeve and porous reductive metal layer(32) is formed on the surface of the base metal plate(31). The electrochemical method is electroplating method which is executed in electrolyte below pH 7. The electrochemical method is executed by 1mV-5V higher voltage than conventional electrochemical method.
