PURPOSE: A method for adhering a functional film for a cathode ray tube and an apparatus thereof are provided to simplify and clean up a process for adhering the functional film to a front surface of a panel. CONSTITUTION: A release paper is peeled from a functional film tape(100). The functional film tape from which the release paper is peeled is adhered to a front surface of a panel(200). At that time, the front surface of the panel(200) is in a state that is washed by a cleaner or an organic solvent. A roller or a frame presses the functional film tape to attach to a front surface of the panel(300). The functional film tape includes an antireflection layer, a resin layer, an adhesive layer, and the release paper which are sequentially laminated on thereon. The resin layer supports the antireflection layer.
