PURPOSE: An oil cylindrical rotational damper is provided which has a simple structure, made compact and light, and manufactured inexpensively, and an assist grip into which the damper is built. CONSTITUTION: The damper comprises a housing having an inner cylinder(11) and an outer cylinder(12) which disposed concentrically with each other and an annular space(13) formed between the inner cylinder and the outer cylinder containing a viscous fluid(52). A cylindrical rotor accommodated in the housing and which receives a damping action from the viscous fluid(52). An annular cap(40) is mounted to the housing. The cylindrical rotor and the annular cap(40) are independently formed. A first sealing member(53) is mounted on the inner surroundings(41) of the cap(40), and a second sealing member(54) is formed at the inner surroundings of the cylidrical rotor.
