PURPOSE: A magnet cover fixing structure for linear motor for use in compressor is provided to prevent the magnet cover from being escaped from the magnet frame even when the magnet assembly continuously resonates, by allowing the magnet cover to be supported at the magnet frame in multiple points. CONSTITUTION: A magnet assembly comprises a magnet holder(110) shaped as a disk and which is coupled to parts like a piston; a cylindrical magnet frame(120) coupled to a side surface of the magnet holder and inserted between the outer stator and inner stator, and which has a plurality of magnets(M) attached to the outer periphery of the magnet frame; and a magnet cover(130) shaped as a cylinder so as to surround the magnet attached to the outer periphery of the magnet frame, and which have both ends welded to the magnet frame, in a manner that the welded portions are disposed in front and rear of the motion direction of the magnet. The magnet frame has a magnet mount groove(121) formed at the outer periphery of the magnet frame, and an extended portion(122) formed at the front end of the magnet frame for welding of the front end of the magnet cover.
