PURPOSE: To make a centrifugal dust collection section miniature and lightweight and operate with low power consumption by structuring so as to collect dust sucked from a suction opening in the centrifugal dust collection section and using a low input type motor for the motor of an electric blower. CONSTITUTION: When a centrifugal dust collection section 16 is mounted in a cleaner body 10 and started, a suction force of an electric blower 11 acts in a passage leading from a suction opening 12 to an intake air passage 26, an intake opening 19 of the centrifugal dust collection section 16, a filter and an exhaust opening 22 of the centrifugal dust collection section 16, dust on a cleaned surface scraped up by a rotary brush 15 is sucked from the suction opening 12. This dust is guided into the centrifugal dust collection section 16 from the intake opening 19 through the intake air passage 26 communicating with the suction opening 12 together with air. Dust collection by a centrifugal force by the action of a cyclotron, dust flowing into the suction side of the electric blower 11 can be reduced. In this case, a low input type motor is adopted for the motor 28 of the electric blower 11.
