PURPOSE: A can opener is provided to open a can with small force through the specific space between a grip and the upper end of the can by forming the slope between the head portion of a can opener and the upper surface of the can. CONSTITUTION: A can opener(31) consists of: a grip(32) formed on the side of the can opener; a rivet joint(33) for adhering the grip to the upper face of a can(30); a head portion(34) having a slope toward the side; a cutting groove(35) for providing a space for moving the grip fixed to the rivet joint if a user opens the can by lifting the grip; and a cap(36) formed at a specific cut portion on the upper face of the can. A space is formed between the head portion and the upper end of the can when the user makes the slope between the head portion and the rivet joint. The head portion is out of contact with the upper end of the can. Therefore, the user opens the can easily with small force when the user raises the grip up.
