PURPOSE: Provided is a resin for polyethylene blow molded articles, which is excellent in falling impact resistance and appearance without rough surface, therefore, which can be used for the monolayer or multilayer structure polyethylene blow molded articles such as soft bottle for food. CONSTITUTION: The resin for polyethylene blow molded articles has a density of 0.930g/cm¬3 or less and an intrinsic viscosity of 1.6dl/g or more measured in a decalin solvent of 135deg.C and comprises a linear low density polyethylene having a molecular weight distribution (Mw/Mn) of more than 4 measured by GPC. The linear low density polyethylene can be obtained by two-stage polymerization of ethylene and a C3-C20 alpha-olefin in the presence of an olefin polymerization catalyst. The polyethylene blow molded article has a layer comprising the resin.
