METHOD FOR ISSUING AND VERIFYING PUBLIC TELEPHONE SMART CARD

PURPOSE: A method for issuing and verifying a public telephone smart card is provided to perform a systematic and secured key distribution which is implemented by combining an asymmetric/symmetric key encoding algorithm and to obtain a recording medium capable of reading data using a computer having a program which implements the present invention using a card and user verification mechanism. CONSTITUTION: A use of a telephone smart card is requested from a public telephone set. A card password is received from a user of the public smart card and is checked to be matched with the password stored in the card. The smart card manufacturer in the public telephone set is verified by judging a smart card manufacturer verification information from the public telephone smart card. A smart card issuer is verified in the public telephone by judging verification information of the smart card issuer from the public telephone smart card. A user's membership number and password judged from the public telephone smart card are encoded and are transmitted to the public telephone service verification organ, so that the card user member is verified.
