PURPOSE: An apparatus and a method for realizing an EPG of a TV are provided to accurately show channel being broadcasted at present to a user, and to give the convenience in channel application by controlling cursor position based on the present time. CONSTITUTION: A signal extraction part(100) extracts a KBPS(Korean Broadcasting Program Service) signal from received broadcasting signals. A key operation part(200) inputs a request signal of a user. A micro computer(300) outputs a control signal for controlling extraction/decoding operation of the KBPS signal according to the input of the key operation part(200). An EPG(Electric Program Guide) realizing part(400) generates an EPG by matching the KBPS signal with the corresponding font and performing OSD signal processing to display the KBPS signal on a screen, and controls to place a cursor at the program being broadcasted presently in the generated EPG. A display part(500) displays the generated EPG. |
