PURPOSE: A surface conduction electron emitters display cathode is provided to form the melting unit of the center of PdO uniformly and to generated the emitted current uniformly. CONSTITUTION: In the surface conduction electron emitters display cathode, a pair of electrodes(2) are formed on the board(1). PdO(3) is coated on the electrodes(2) through printing method. A melting unit is formed on the center of the PdO(2) coated electrodes(2) by giving to the electrodes(2) Break-Down Voltage(Vf) above a certain voltage level. Projections(5) having a certain height are formed between the electrodes(2) before PdO(3) is coated on the electrodes(2) to obtain uniformly emitted electrons.
